Going to the Sun Chalets offers Montana wedding packages designed to make your special day unforgettable and turn it into a cherished memory that will last a lifetime. The standard booking is for 3 nights at Snowmoon Ranch (sleeps 9) and the Hideaway (sleeps 2 and is a great honeymoon suite).
Since the size and type of tent and arrangements for each event varies, we don’t offer those amenities directly but suggest you work with one of the several rental companies in our area (Empress Tents and Events, the Party Store, or Celebrate). We also highly recommend a wedding coordinator (Empress, Big Day Celebrations, and Goldfinch Designs are all amazing). I recommend checking out www.mymontanawedding.com for more vendor options.
For an event, we require a 3 night minimum at both Snowmoon Ranch (sleeps 9) and the Hideway (both are included in this listing), which is a perfect bride/groom suite sleeping 2. We do not allow checkout the day after the wedding, because check out time is 10 am and in our experience, that is too early for guests to be ready and out on time. Having an extra day to hang out and relax has proven to be the way to go.
You will need to rent a tent (or have on standby), tables, chairs, porta potties, etc. We do have one 220V outlet at the wedding site for a DJ or band, and four 110 outlets for lights, microphone, etc. There is also a 220V next to the garage which can be used for a mobile caterer. Our fee includes additional site visits, site preparation of ceremony area and parking, and we make sure everything is manicured to perfection (this requires extensive mowing with a skid steer).
The house is available for the folks staying here, but is not open for the wedding attendees and we are strict on this policy. The 20 acre property provides plenty of space for the outdoor event. We will have the place groomed and manicured for your event! The only other requirement is for you to purchase event insurance for the wedding night, which is typically $99-$149 depending on the size of the event and can be purchased though any major insurance company, such as Progressive, Geico, USAA, State Farm, etc. This covers general liability for both of us on the property as well as for alcohol.
