A mile from Glacier, run by a local

A small collection of modern chalets and a hilltop lodge one mile from the West Glacier park entrance — built as the basecamp guests actually want over a hotel.

Log cabin home with mountain view, patio, and fire pit.

Lindsey runs the chalets, one mile from the West Entrance

I answer email, send the recs list, and live close enough to fix things the same day. We're one mile from Glacier's West Entrance — close enough that guests are usually parked at Apgar before the line builds at the gate.

A living room with a brown recliner, a sofa, a coffee table, and a sliding glass door.
Why these chalets exist

Modern interiors, updated kitchens — rustic at heart

The in-park lodges are booked a year out and the Whitefish chains are a 40-minute drive. We built the alternative: full kitchens that actually cook, beds you'd want at home, and a whole house instead of a single hotel room.

A brightly lit kitchen with stainless steel appliances, wooden cabinets, and granite countertops.
A serene pond reflects a dramatic sky over a lush forest and snow-capped mountains.
Snowmoon Ranch

Twenty acres on the hilltop

Four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, sleeps nine. The deck wraps the lodge for a 360° views of Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall Wilderness — the kind of vantage you usually only get hiking for it.

Deck with a grill and red french doors overlooking a grassy field and mountains at sunset.
Glacier Hideaway

Lake McDonald from the deck

A one-bedroom apartment for two to four, with park and lake views off the deck. Quieter footprint than the chalets, same five-minute reach to Apgar and the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Three modern cabins nestled amongst pine trees with large windows and wooden decks.
The Chalets

Modern A-frames, sleep 4–6

Five chalets, a mile from Glacier's West Entrance. Full kitchens, mountain views off the spacious deck, and lofts in most — whole-house space a mile from the gate.
